Hi this is great on one of my Aeropresses - though needs careful checking it is really firm - but it seems not to connect properly at all with the other one. Apart from that dodgy issue it is fantastic, even though I may miss the ritual careful rinsing and drying of the old filters, I find the quality of the coffee excellent. But if you don't have it absolutely firmly in place there will be a maddening mess... I wish that was just a guess!
I bought this not to attempt espresso, which seems a pointless exercise, but so that I can brew without inverting my Aeropress. Inversion is too tricky to manage safely and seems to allow less water, so I want to avoid it. My normal method is pour over at home, Oomph for "one off" brews while visiting or at events, while the Aeropress is my favourite method while camping (Cafetiere is too messy when camping IMO). Soooo... I bought a Prismo.
When I assembled the unit for the first time I was astounded by how much effort it took to fit it to my Aeropress. It took significant effort and it only partly engaged with the lugs on the Aeropress. I will have to keep checking when I use it to make sure it's OK, 'cos if it becomes detached during use there's going to be hot water *everywhere*. Overall, I like the idea, but I'm less impressed with the implementation - especially for something that cost more than my Aeropress did originally.
The jury is still out on the Prismo bought for my Aeropress, but I can't fault the service from Coffee Hit.
Order was dealt with quickly and efficiently, keeping me update on progress all the way through
This does exactly what it promises, it makes a perfect coffee. It has taken my aero press to a new level, I can recommend this product.
